I am a retired elementary school teacher who has lived in Ohio since graduating from college. I am an introvert who enjoys quiet as well as conversation. I don't usually seek out a crowd, but I will get out on the dance floor without hesitation. BBC movies and Masterpiece on PBS hold my attention as will a good novel. Fine music includes everything but country, and I even enjoy that in small doses. I love spending time with friends and family, walks on the beach or in the woods, learning new things from online summits, and looking at art--especially impressionistic. I am "into" nutrition, so I don't frequent fast food joints or pizza parlors. My Sirius XM radio is usually tuned to the Beatles channel or Fleetwood Mac, though I grew up on my parents' Broadway musicals, Big Bands and classic crooners. I am a sentimental gal and a romantic at heart--forever optimistic when it comes to love. The world is full of tragedy and life is laden with loss, but God is good, merciful and kind. (I am actually from the Toledo area, but the drop-down list did not include Toledo as an option.)
