I'm a widower with a wonderful young daughter, serving the Lord in rural villages in Africa. Heels and lipstick don't really go with the territory, but I promise to take my woman into civilization regularly enough to keep some sanity.
We have a very nice house which is not aloof from many other homes in this town. There is a level of poverty, but it is really not bad compared to many other places in which I have worked. It's very important to keep your focus on the ministry of reaching out with the Gospel and not get distracted by the need around us, because transformation always follows salvation.
I live a short distance from the sea, but I don't go snorkeling since losing my snorkeling buddy. I am in ministry and would prefer not to get involved with someone who is divorced except for Biblical reasons, and I don't want to separate children from their biological fathers.
As a single dad, I have a lot of empathy for single moms. May the Lord richly reward your hard work.
My daughter is 10 years old now and loves animals. We are very much partners in crime and we have made a lot of adjustments since my wife passed away.
